Benomyl 50% WP 95% TC

Benomyl is an efficient and broad-spectrum systemic fungicide that also has protective, eradicative, and acaricidal effects on eggs. It metabolizes into volatile butyric isocyanate within the plant, inhibiting the formation of the spindle apparatus during fungal cell division. However, the produced butyric isocyanate easily binds with the cuticle and waxy layer on the surface of leaves and fruits, resulting in a more prolonged efficacy.

Application

Benomyl can be used to control various fungal diseases in crops such as flowers, vegetables, and fruit trees. It is commonly applied as a seed treatment, spray, and soil application. In addition to its protective and therapeutic effects, it also has acaricidal properties.

1. For foliar spray: It can control gray mold, leaf mold, powdery mildew, anthracnose, and sclerotinia diseases. A solution of 800-1000 times dilution should be sprayed, starting at the early stages of disease onset, with applications made every 7-10 days for a total of three sprays.

2. For seed treatment: It helps in controlling rot diseases, wilt diseases, and brown stripe disease. You can use 50% Benomyl mixed with three parts of a filler (such as fine soil or furnace ash), combined to treat seeds at a rate of 0.1% of the seed weight.

3. For soil treatment: It is effective against wilt diseases and root and stem rot diseases. You can apply a 500-1000 times diluted solution to irrigate the roots at the early stages of disease onset, using 0.5-1.0 kilograms per acre per application. Alternatively, it can be mixed with the soil, providing excellent prevention and treatment for root rot and stem base rot diseases.
