Procymidone 50% WP 50% SC

Procymidone acts by targeting the cell membrane of pathogens, inhibiting the synthesis of triglycerides within them, and obstructing the normal cell wall formation at the hyphal tip. This disruption prevents normal hyphal development, thereby providing therapeutic and preventive effects. Procymidone proves particularly effective against various gray mold and sclerotinia diseases caused by fungi such as Botrytis and Sclerotinia.

Features of Procymidone

1. Targeted Control Effectiveness: Procymidone is effective in controlling gray mold and sclerotinia diseases in cucumbers and tomatoes, early blight in tomatoes, gray mold in peppers, strawberries, and grapes, as well as sclerotinia diseases in various vegetables such as peppers. It also addresses brown rot in apples, peaches, and cherries, as well as flower rot in loquats. Procymidone is particularly effective against gray mold and sclerotinia diseases that occur in various crops under low temperature and high humidity conditions. Additionally, it demonstrates good control efficacy against pathogens resistant to benzimidazole fungicides (such as carbendazim and thiophanate-methyl).

2. Therapeutic and Protective Properties: Procymidone exhibits strong inhibitory effects on the germination of pathogen spores. It causes the germ tubes and hyphae to swell and even burst, leading to the leakage of protoplasm and resulting in deformed hyphae. This action prevents the formation of early lesions and stops their expansion, thus providing both protective and therapeutic effects.

3. Strong Systemic Activity and Long Residual Effect: Procymidone has strong systemic activity and a long-lasting effect.
