Application
Soybean Fields: Pre-emergence soil treatment. Due to the strong adsorption, low volatility, and resistance to photodegradation of this herbicide, mixing it into the soil after application has little effect on its weed control efficacy. However, in cases of prolonged drought or low soil moisture, mixing in 3-5 cm of soil can enhance the weed control effect. Use 200-300 ml of 33% Pendimethalin emulsifiable concentrate per acre, diluted with 25-40 kg of water for soil spraying before soybean planting. If the soil has high organic matter content or is very sticky, the dosage can be appropriately increased. This herbicide can also be used for post-emergence pre-planting treatment, but it must be applied within 5 days after soybean planting and before emergence. In fields with mixed monocot and dicot weeds, it can be used in combination with pendimethalin.
Corn Fields: It can be used both pre-emergence and post-emergence. If applied pre-emergence, it must be done within 5 days after corn planting and before emergence. Use 200 ml of 33% Pendimethalin emulsifiable concentrate per acre, diluted with 25-50 kg of water for even spraying. If the soil moisture is low during application, shallow mixing of the soil may be performed, but care must be taken to avoid contact with corn seeds. If applied post-emergence, it should be done before broadleaf weeds develop 2 true leaves and before grasses reach the 1.5 leaf stage, using the same dosage and application method as above. Pendimethalin can be mixed with Acetochlor to enhance the control of dicot weeds, with a mixing ratio of 200 ml of 33% Pendimethalin emulsifiable concentrate and 83 ml of 40% Acetochlor suspension per acre.
Peanut Fields: It can be used for pre-emergence or post-emergence soil treatment. Use 200-300 ml of 33% Pendimethalin emulsifiable concentrate per acre (66-99 g of active ingredient), diluted with 25-40 kg of water for spraying.
Cotton Fields: The application timing, method, and dosage are the same as for peanut fields. Pendimethalin can be mixed with Fluazifop-P-butyl to control difficult-to-manage weeds. It can be used pre-emergence with Pendimethalin, during the seedling stage with Fluazifop-P-butyl, or mixed before emergence with both, with each dosage being half of the single application (Fluazifop-P-butyl alone is 66.7-133.3 g of active ingredient per acre). Use 100-150 ml of 33% Pendimethalin emulsifiable concentrate and Fluazifop-P-butyl per acre, diluted with 25-50 kg of water for even spraying.
Vegetable Fields: For direct-seeded vegetables such as chives, scallions, cabbage, cauliflower, and bok choy, apply the herbicide after sowing and water. Use 100-150 ml of 33% Pendimethalin emulsifiable concentrate per acre, diluted with 25-40 kg of water for spraying. The herbicide has a residual effect lasting about 45 days. For long-growing direct-seeded vegetables like chives, a second application can be made 40-45 days after the first application to effectively control weed damage throughout the entire growth period of the vegetables. For transplanted vegetable fields, such as cabbage, cauliflower, lettuce, eggplant, tomatoes, and bell peppers, it can be applied before or after transplanting, using 100-200 ml of 33% Pendimethalin emulsifiable concentrate per acre, diluted with 30-50 kg of water for spraying.
Tobacco Fields: It can be applied after transplanting tobacco, using 100-200 ml of 33% Pendimethalin emulsifiable concentrate per acre, diluted with 30-50 kg of water for even spraying. Additionally, it can be used as a bud suppressant for tobacco, which is beneficial for increasing yield and quality.
Sugarcane Fields: It can be applied after planting sugarcane, using 200-300 ml of 33% Pendimethalin emulsifiable concentrate per acre, diluted with 30-50 kg of water for even spraying.
Orchards: During the growing season of fruit trees, apply before weeds emerge, using 200-300 ml of 33% Pendimethalin emulsifiable concentrate per acre, diluted with 50-75 kg of water for soil treatment. To broaden the spectrum of weed control, it can be mixed with Acetochlor.
