Application
1. Thidiazuron applied to cotton can induce the plant to produce abscisic acid and ethylene, allowing the green leaves to rapidly transfer nutrients to the upper tender cotton bolls. This process prevents the cotton plant from wilting and achieves multiple effects, including maturation, leaf drop, increased yield, and enhanced quality. It promotes early maturity of cotton, leads to earlier and more concentrated boll opening before frost, reduces the incidence of bolls with shells, prevents shedding of fibers and flowers, increases fiber length, and improves ginning quality, making it favorable for both mechanical and manual harvesting. Thidiazuron has a long-lasting effect, causing leaves to drop while still green, effectively solving the issue of “wilted but not dropped” leaves, reducing contamination of machine-harvested cotton, and improving the quality and efficiency of mechanical cotton harvesting. It also has a strong inhibitory effect on aphids.
2. For cherries, applying the product once during the initial flowering period (20%) and once after flowering can prevent flower and fruit drop, increase fruit set rate, and promote the swelling of young fruits.
3. For apple trees, applying the product once when the central flowers are 10-20% open and once during full bloom can prevent flower and fruit drop, promote rapid swelling of young fruits, and improve yield and quality.
4. For grapes, applying the product once during the swelling period after physiological fruit drop can prevent fruit drop, increase fruit set rate, and promote rapid swelling of fruit.
5. For peach trees, applying the product once at full bloom and again 20 days after flowering can increase fruit set rate, promote rapid fruit swelling, enhance color vibrancy, and lead to earlier maturity.
6. For tomatoes, applying the product after the second cluster of fruit has set can prevent flower and fruit drop, increase fruit set rate, promote fruit growth, reduce hollow and malformed fruits, improve individual fruit weight, enhance marketability, and increase the plant’s resistance to early blight and late blight.
7. For peppers, applying the product after the initial flowering and fruit setting can suppress excessive plant growth, increase fruit set rate, promote rapid growth of pepper fruits, reduce malformed fruits, and achieve an average yield increase of over 50%. It can also inhibit the occurrence of side shoots.
