Cyromazine 98%TC 75%WP for Fly Control

The mechanism of action of Cyromazine is to cause morphological distortions in the larvae and pupae of dipteran insects, leading to incomplete or suppressed emergence of adults. This helps control pest reproduction and reduce pest populations.

Cyromazine is an insect growth regulator with selectivity, primarily active against dipteran insects. It works by interfering with chitin synthesis, a major component of the insect exoskeleton, affecting normal growth and development. Specifically, Cyromazine induces morphological distortions in dipteran larvae and pupae, resulting in suppressed or incomplete emergence of adults.

This effect is evident in controlling agricultural pests, such as the western flower thrips, and extends to fly egg control in poultry feed, green fly control on livestock, and sanitation in public places. Additionally, cyromazine has contact and stomach toxicity, along with strong systemic translocation, providing a long-lasting effect. Although its action is slow, it offers durable protection.

Application

Cyromazine is primarily effective against “fly” pests and is suitable for eliminating various types of fruit and vegetable pests, including the American serpentine fly, South American serpentine fly, black bean stem fly, onion leaf miner, and three-leaf serpentine fly, among others. It is particularly effective against pests that attack vegetables such as leeks, onions, and garlic, including the root maggots (leek moth larvae). Cowpea is a major target for these pests.

In addition to its effectiveness against vegetable crops, Cyromazine can also be used to eliminate fly eggs in poultry feed, control green flies on livestock, and for fly control in public sanitation.
