FENBUTATIN OXIDE SC
FENBUTATIN OXIDE SC

Fenbutatin Oxide 20%WP, 10EC, 55%SC Organotin Acaricide

Fenbutatin Oxide is a novel acyl acetonitrile acaricide. Its mechanism of action primarily involves inhibiting mitochondrial electron transport. This interference disrupts the energy metabolism of harmful mites, controlling their growth and reproduction. Fenbutatin Oxide is effective against both juvenile and adult mites. It mainly acts through contact killing. It shows no cross-resistance with organophosphate and organochlorine insecticides, making it highly effective in managing various phytophagous mites during different activity periods.

Application

Fenbutatin Oxide is available in several formulations, including 20%, 25%, and 50% wettable powders, 10% emulsifiable concentrate, 80% water-dispersible granules, and 20% and 50% suspensions. These formulations allow for convenient application in various control scenarios. It has a high safety profile, causing no phytotoxicity even when used at different growth stages of crops. Additionally, Fenbutatin Oxide performs well at higher temperatures, classifying it as a thermosensitive acaricide. It remains stable under suitable storage conditions and is low in toxicity to higher animals but highly toxic to aquatic organisms like fish, necessitating safety precautions during use.

Fenbutatin Oxide has a wide application range. It can control leaf mites on citrus, apples, pears, grapes, tea plants, legumes, eggplants, melons, tomatoes, and ornamental plants. The application method involves spraying, ensuring an even coverage of the crop surface for optimal results. Since the efficacy of Fenbutatin Oxide develops slowly, it is recommended to apply it in advance based on pest forecasts to ensure effective control. Its residual efficacy is long-lasting, lasting 2 to 5 months, making it a long-acting acaricide.
