Fipronil 5%SC 80%WDG/DF Insecticide for Agriculture

Fipronil is a phenylpyrazole insecticide with broad-spectrum activity. It mainly exerts its effects through gastric toxicity to insects. It also has contact and some systemic action.

The mechanism of action involves blocking the metabolism of chloride controlled by γ-aminobutyric acid in insects. This gives it high insecticidal activity against various pests, such as aphids, leafhoppers, planthoppers, lepidopteran larvae, flies, and beetles.

Fipronil insecticide is safe for crops. It can be applied to the soil or as a foliar spray. When applied to the soil, it effectively controls corn rootworms, wireworms, and cutworms. As a foliar spray, it provides high efficacy against diamondback moths, cabbage loopers, and rice leafhoppers, with a long residual effect.

In recent years, Fipronil has also been widely used as a public health insecticide, mainly for controlling cockroaches, ants, and other pests.
