Three Main Methods of Controlling Pests with Chlorpyrifos:
1. Spraying: Dilute 48% chlorpyrifos emulsion in water for spraying.

1.2 Use a dilution of 1000 times to control the larvae of Plutella xylostella, Spodoptera litura, Helicoverpa armigera, and Tuta absoluta as well as aquatic vegetable pests.
1.3 Use a dilution of 1500 times to control the pupating larvae of Liriomyza chinensis and Tuta absoluta.
2. Root Drenching: Dilute 48% chlorpyrifos emulsion in water for root drenching.
2.1 During the initial peak of Allium tuberosum maggot egg-laying, use a dilution of 2000 times to control the maggot, applying 500 liters of solution per acre.
2.2 In early to mid-April, when drenching garlic for the first or second time, use 250-375 milliliters of emulsion per acre mixed with water to control root maggots.
2.3 Use a dilution of 2000 times to drench the roots of the plants for controlling earthworm damage, applying 250-300 liters of solution per acre.
3. Soil Treatment: Apply 2-4 kilograms of 3% chlorpyrifos granules per acre, before sowing or transplanting, using either furrow application, hole application, or broadcasting to control Allium tuberosum maggots, grubs, and cutworms.
