Fenpyroximate Acaricide 95% TC, 20% SC

The active ingredient of Fenpyroximate is a novel acaricide that inhibits esterases. It works by suppressing the activity of esterases in mites, affecting fatty acid metabolism and energy utilization, ultimately killing the mites. Azocyclotin targets the oxidative phosphorylation pathway and redox pathways in mites, disrupting ATP production and compromising cell membrane integrity. This impacts the growth and reproduction of mites and provides unique lethal effects against various pests and mites.

Fenpyroximate primarily exerts its effects through contact action, inhibiting the neurophysiological activities of mites. It specifically disrupts nerve conduction, leading to paralysis symptoms in mites, which ultimately results in death. This mechanism makes azocyclotin an effective acaricide suitable for controlling harmful mites on various plants.

Features of Fenpyroximate

Fenpyroximate primarily acts through contact action and does not have systemic properties. It has a rapid effect, a long-lasting duration, and also functions as an insecticide and disease control agent. It can knock down and inhibit molting, providing good control effects on all developmental stages of mites.

Fenpyroximate is particularly effective against mite eggs, nymphs, and larvae, quickly alleviating mite damage. Its mechanism of action differs from that of general insecticides; it interferes with neurophysiological activities and has an inhibitory effect on nerve conduction.

Fenpyroximate does not exhibit cross-resistance with other agents and can be mixed with various pesticides. However, care should be taken to avoid mixing it with alkaline pesticides. It has moderate toxicity to humans and livestock but is highly toxic to aquatic organisms such as fish, shrimp, and shellfish.

Application

Fenpyroximate is suitable for controlling two-spotted spider mites and all leaf mites on various plants. It also demonstrates good control over pests such as cabbage caterpillars, armyworms, rice leafhoppers, and peach aphids, as well as diseases like rice blast, powdery mildew, and downy mildew.

The safe interval for citrus and apple trees is 15 days, with a maximum of two applications per season. It is recommended to rotate azocyclotin with acaricides that have different mechanisms of action to delay the development of pest resistance.

Fenpyroximate formulations primarily consist of a 5% suspension and are suitable for various crops, including corn, cotton, watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplants, apples, and citrus fruits. It effectively controls spider mites on these crops.
