MALATHION TC
MALATHION TC

Malathion 40% EC Liquid 50% WP Powder

Malathion is an efficient, low-toxicity, broad-spectrum organophosphate insecticide. It has contact and stomach poison effects, along with some fumigant and penetration properties. It effectively knocks down pests but lacks systemic action. When malathion enters an insect’s body, it oxidizes to malaoxon, enhancing its toxicity. However, when it enters warm-blooded animals, carboxylesterase hydrolyzes it, rendering it non-toxic. Malathion has low toxicity and a short residual period, but its efficacy is significantly affected by temperature, performing better at higher temperatures. It remains stable in neutral media or aqueous solutions but decomposes in the presence of acids or bases.

Application

1. Vegetable pest control: Use 85-120 ml of 45% Malathion emulsion per acre, diluted and sprayed evenly with water. It effectively controls various vegetable aphids, striped flea beetles, and red spider mites on eggplant and cowpeas. Note that high concentrations may cause phytotoxicity to certain cruciferous vegetables, cowpeas, and gourd vegetables.

2. Rice pest control: Use a 1000-fold dilution of 45% Malathion emulsion per acre, with a spray volume of 75-100 kg. It effectively controls rice planthoppers and leafhoppers.

3. Wheat and legume crop pest control: Use a 1000-fold dilution of 45% Malathion  emulsion for spraying, effectively controlling wheat armyworms, aphids, and wheat stem sawflies. Apply a 1000-fold dilution of 45% emulsion at a spray volume of 75-100 kg per acre to effectively control soybean seed borers, soybean loopers, pea weevils, and striped flea beetles.

4. Cotton pest control: Use a 1500-fold dilution of 45% Malathion emulsion for spraying, effectively controlling cotton leafhoppers and blind stink bugs.

5. Fruit tree pest control: Use a 1500-fold dilution of 45% Malathion  emulsion for spraying, effectively controlling various caterpillars, tent caterpillars, mealybugs, aphids, gall aphids, citrus aphids, cicadas, leaf mites, leafhoppers, sharpshooters, leaf rollers, seed borers, scale insects, and caterpillars on fruit trees. Use a 1000-fold dilution of 50% Malathion  emulsion to effectively control aphids on apple, pear, and peach trees, with special efficacy against leafhoppers. Use a 1200-1800-fold dilution of 45% malathion emulsion for even spraying to control yellow aphids on apples and pear star caterpillars.

6. Tea tree pest control: Use a 500-800-fold dilution of 45% malathion emulsion for spraying, effectively controlling tea geometrid moths, tea leaf beetles, long white scale, and tea round scale, as well as black armyworms.

7. Grain storage pest control: Use a 1.8% malathion powder at 1000-2000 g per ton of grain, applied as a dust to prevent pests like the corn borer, wheat moth, grain weevil, and false grain beetle in stored grains and seeds.

8. Forest pest control: Use 2250-3720 mL/hm² of 25% malathion oil for ultra-low volume spraying or fogging to control caterpillars, pine caterpillars, and toxic moths.

9. Sanitary pest control: Use a 250-fold dilution of 45% emulsion at 100-200 mL/m² to control flies; use a 160-fold dilution of 45% emulsion at 100-150 mL/m² to control bedbugs; use a 250-fold dilution of 45% emulsion at 50 mL/m² to control cockroaches.
