Prometryn 500g/L SC WP For Early Weed Control

Prometryn is a systemic selective herbicide. It absorbs and translocates through roots and leaves. This herbicide works best on newly germinated weeds. It effectively controls annual grasses and broadleaf weeds. Farmers use it in cotton and soybeans. Additionally, it is suitable for cereals and peanuts. It can also be applied to sunflowers and potatoes. Prometryn works well in fruit trees and vegetables. Tea trees and rice fields can benefit too. In rice fields, it controls barnyard grass and crabgrass. It also targets golden foxtail and wild amaranth. Smartweed and lamb’s quarters are affected as well. Purslane, foxtail millet, and common chickweed are also controlled. Overall, Prometryn has a broad spectrum of activity.

Application

Dryland Use:For cotton, before sowing or before seedling emergence, apply 100-150 grams of Prometryn 50% wettable powder per mu or mix 100 grams of 50% Prometryn wettable powder with 100 milliliters of 48% fluazifop-p-butyl emulsion per mu, diluted in 30 kilograms of water for uniform spraying on the soil surface, or mix with 20 kilograms of fine soil and uniformly apply, then mix into the soil to a depth of 3 cm. This is effective against annual monocot and dicot weeds.

For peanuts and soybeans, before sowing or before seedling emergence, apply 100 grams of Prometryn 50% wettable powder per mu, diluted in 30 kilograms of water, and uniformly spray on the soil surface.

For millet, after sowing and before seedling emergence, apply 50 grams of 50% wettable powder per mu, diluted in 30 kilograms of water, and spray on the soil surface.

In wheat fields, at the 2-3 leaf stage of wheat and the 1-2 leaf stage of weeds, apply 75-100 grams of Prometryn 50% wettable powder per mu, diluted in 30-50 kilograms of water for foliar spraying, effective against weeds such as common chickweed and foxtail millet.

For carrots, celery, garlic, onions, chives, and fennel, at the time of sowing or before seedling emergence, apply 100 grams of 50% wettable powder per mu, diluted in 50 kilograms of water for uniform spraying on the soil surface, or mix 50 grams of Prometryn 50% wettable powder with 200 milliliters of 25% oxyfluorfen emulsion for better effectiveness.

Use in Fruit Trees, Tea Gardens, and Mulberry Gardens:

Early in the vigorous germination of annual weeds, under moist soil conditions, apply 250-300 grams of 50% wettable powder per mu, either alone or halved and mixed with other herbicides like pendimethalin or dithiopyr, and uniformly spray on the surface layer of the soil.

Use in Rice Fields:5-7 days after rice transplanting, apply 20-40 grams of 50% wettable powder per mu, or mix 400 grams of 50% Prometryn wettable powder with 25% oxyfluorfen wettable powder, and mix with about 20 kilograms of moist fine sand, ensuring thorough mixing. After the dew on the rice leaves has dried, uniformly apply over the entire field. Maintain a shallow water layer of 3-5 cm in the field during application and keep the water for 7-10 days after treatment.

20-25 days after rice transplanting, when the leaves of the water spinach change from red to green, apply 65-100 grams of 50% wettable powder per mu in the north and 25-50 grams in the south, mixed with 20-30 kilograms of moist fine soil for application. Maintain the same water level as before.
