Triazophos 85% TC 40% EC

Triazophos, an organophosphate insecticide, inhibits acetylcholinesterase activity in pests. This enzyme breaks down acetylcholine. When pests contact Triazophos, it binds to acetylcholinesterase, rendering it inactive. Acetylcholine accumulates in pest synapses, disrupting nerve transmission. This ultimately leads to pest death.

Triazophos is a broad-spectrum organophosphorus insecticide and acaricide, classified as a moderately toxic pesticide. It has strong contact and stomach toxicity, as well as certain fumigant and ovicidal effects. Triazophos does not have systemic translocation in plants, but it has a long residual period in the soil and is toxic to aquatic organisms.

Application

1. Lepidopteran Pests: Triazophos exhibits excellent control efficacy against Lepidopteran pests. This group includes important pests on various crops such as the cotton bollworm, striped stem borer, diamondback moth, and others. They cause damage to plants in their larval stage by feeding on leaves, stems, and fruits, seriously affecting crop growth and yield. Triazophos can rapidly penetrate the exoskeleton of the pests and inhibit the activity of acetylcholinesterase within their bodies, leading to disrupted nerve conduction and eventual death.

2. Homopteran Pests: Homopteran pests are also one of the primary targets for control with triazophos. This group mainly includes aphids, whiteflies, and scale insects, which harm crops by sap-sucking. Triazophos also demonstrates high efficacy in controlling Homopteran pests, able to quickly reduce their population density and alleviate their damage to crops.

3. Coleopteran Pests: Coleopteran pests such as weevils and beetles are significant targets for triazophos as well. These pests can damage crops in both adult and larval forms by feeding on roots, stems, leaves, and fruits, causing severe losses. Triazophos effectively controls Coleopteran pest reproduction and damage through its unique insecticidal mechanism.

4. Other Pests: In addition to the three main groups mentioned above, triazophos is also effective against various other pests. For instance, it can control Dipteran pests such as flies and mosquitoes, as well as Orthopteran pests like locusts. These pests also pose varying degrees of harm to crops, and the application of triazophos can effectively mitigate their damage.
