TRIBENURON-METHYL DF

Tribenuron-Methyl 95% TC 10% WP 75% WDG/DF

Tribenuron-Methyl is a selective systemic herbicide. It can be absorbed by the roots and leaves of weeds. The herbicide is translocated within the plant. It works by inhibiting acetolactate synthase (ALS). This affects the biosynthesis of branched-chain amino acids. These include leucine, isoleucine, and valine. Affected plants show necrosis at the growing points. They also lose green color in the leaf veins. This leads to severe growth inhibition and stunting. Ultimately, it results in complete plant death. Sensitive weeds stop growing immediately after herbicide absorption. They die within 1 to 3 weeks.

Application

Tribenuron-Methyl is primarily used for the control of various annual broadleaf weeds, and it is particularly effective against plants such as Lepidium apetalumCardamine hirsutaMyosoton aquaticumMercurialis annuaChenopodium spp., and Amaranthus retroflexus.

For resistant weeds such as Lepidium apetalum and Sorghum halepense, the combination of Tribenuron-Methyl l or bensulfuron-methyl + MCPA is suitable, which has a broad spectrum of herbicidal activity and shows good control over newly emerging resistant weeds.

For highly resistant broadleaf weeds like Lepidium apetalum and Sorghum halepense, a formulation of florasulam + carfentrazone-ethyl + MCPA is recommended. For late-emerging broadleaf weeds such as Vicia villosa and Convolvulus arvensis occurring later in the year, the use of tribenuron-Methyl or a combination of florasulam + fluroxypyr is appropriate.
